As the Sr. Systems Administrator for QAD's On Demand service offering, you will work closely with customers solving complex technical issues and you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on a small, highly-visible start-up team within a large, established company. As our Sr. Systems Administrator based from your home office anywhere in the U.S., your primary mission will be to manage all customer-facing infrastructure and systems for an innovative, fast-growing On Demand business. Keys to your success will include: strong technical knowledge administering Linux and Windows operating systems, the ability to configure Apache, Tomcat and Progress WebSpeed services, and heavy shell scripting experience. Hands-on experience with Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Servers will come in handy as you use ICA and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connections to solve complex technical issues and are charged with making challenging decisions. Working remotely from your home office, this position is in a 24/7 on-call environment and will include maintaining systems uptime per the Service Level Agreement and very minimal travel. Your previous experience supporting QAD or a similar ERP manufacturing software will put your resume at the top of the stack and cut your ramp up time in half.
